Now that you're moved, you should totally do WASD with Pistol, Logan. It's a cool show and it sucks to see it indefinitely disbanded. Pistol is really cool and I really grew to enjoy the extended, in depth gaming discussion, so it sucks that WASD is not up and running.
Do it Logan! I don't think anyone would think, "OMG, more Logan? Enough of this guy FFS!" I think a lot of people probably miss WASD and I'm sure Pistol misses doing it, so you two should totally start doing it again now that you're moved.
The resurgence was pretty short lived... I doubt they've abandoned the idea. Seems it's not just me that's had lack of enthusiasm or inspiration from gaming as of late. People crave solid multi-player and co-op, but nothing fresh has come to light in a good long time. On steam my friends list is dispersed into every corner trying to make something stick. I, myself, found a gem. I've been playing a game called Dungeon Fighter Online that is running through a few months of open beta, but I'm bored because I can't really entice a solid 4 man to regular with.
So maybe tek can try to structure some community gaming events. 4 man coffee crunch Wednesdays. Intellectual attacks at steam achievements... Detailed instructions of setting up games like the pros. I think having a focus game for a period of time would be a new element to add. Can tie it to the website and provide your own servers if necessary. Some let's plays and tek community backing. There are so many good games even from a slice of 2007 to 2010 that only ever needed a little structure. Tek is very good at filtering their community, it would be a blessing to see that turned into a network of gamers that didn't have to deal with hacks and trolls.
I know the tek has run servers and are able to see the benefits of providing those features to it's community. I just feel that the whole WASD thing can be a complete package where others fall short of having the capacity to enrich a smaller community. It sounds like a big undertaking and it's obviously not your first instinct to control it's boundaries, but who else is small enough to alienate a userbase to make it good. Growing with quality and unbending standards seems to be right up their alley. Who knows if it get's big enough and is controlled better than steam as far as bans and admission policies it may even merit a subscription service -possibly negated by equal contributions :D
They can still do WASD with Spankks as well. He said they might be doing it like Logan and Wendell do The Tek. But either way I would like to see more WASD episodes sometime soon.
Logan said something along the lines of himself not wanting to do WASD for some reason (I forget exactly what he said about it) and Spankks will be gone for a while so yeah. idk WASD is pretty epic though and I hope to see it come back some time.
You know what would be interesting, and i've said this before when someone asked this, What if there was an Episode of WASD with Wendell and Pistol. they look like they don't converse at ALL. i think it will be an awkward and interesting Episode if that were to happen.
I'm still brain storming my above post. I only started watching WASD as it came to, what I'll just call an intermission, but with how cerebral the tek associations are I see a great deal of potential for the depth of the series and was a little disappointed to see it disappear after it's re-inception. From watching the live broadcast earlier tonight, maybe the move added a little chaos to the mix. Who knows, I think internet celebs deserve more privacy than the run of the mill variety so without getting personal, it was a pretty sweet backdrop Logan had there. Congratulations are in order on a positive change. I'm probably going to have to branch off to a parallel topic even as I look at the clock. After a week in the sun I feel like exhausting my brain and I'm probably going to stress the boundaries of staying on topic lol.
Now that your up in the pacific NW, you could invite Barnacules to the WASD shows. Might not want to physically invite him over though - he's liable to take a poopnap in the bathroom.
I don't want WASD back it endorsed vaping, it's a bad influence on the children. If you do WASD again I'm going to carry out one of Logan's threats on pistol. Sarcasm, I loved WASD and I want it back too
