Local Plex server demanding sign-in

Hey Guys,

So i have a Plex media server on my home network hosted on an Ubuntu 14.04 LTS container. I updated the plex software around 2 weeks ago and just recently discovered when attempting to access it from any computer on my network, it redirects me to the Plex sign in page. I've never had to sign in before, and i definitely don't have a plex pass. I've tried editing the Preferences.xml file to no avail. I have a backup of the server prior to the update that i can use, but it's stored on archival tape and i'm hoping there's a quicker and easier way to get this server working right again. For now it's half working because my Roku can still access it.

Anyone else every run into this or a similar problem with plex?

Just sign in, you don't need plex pass

Just make a normal plex account. you dont need any premium or anything. Its used so you can access your server from anywhere. As well as for securing your server on your network.
