Ok idk if this will get into the next inbox episode or if I am too late, but earlier this year I created a thread on how excited I was on getting fiber into my neighborhood. However now it is being rolled out and the lowest plan is 50 down and 10 up. That was the first question, why were they not giving symmetrical like they had originally said. I decided that this is still a huge improvement from our current dsl, but then I saw that the price was 65$. I don't really have any idea how expensive fiber should be, but for some reason I feel like this is too expensive for what they are offering. I want to know what you guys think.
Well, here in Newfoundland i'm paying 120 CAD for 175 down and 30 up
Well we get this kinds of offers here. (I live in Hong Kong)

In Finland where I am, from my provider, it would be 45€ (~56$) for a 50/50 link..
Holy shit.. just noticed.. so, Telekarelia and Elisa merged not that long ago (providers from around here). Telekarelia (my old ISP) used to offer a 100/100 link and a 500/500 link before, and now the highest you can get from Elisa is 50/50.. Just.. Sad..
I still have my 100/100 connection.. wonder for how long though :(
That is a normal price for the North East USA
