Alright, my GTX 670 is mining about 170 kh/s which is pretty good for my card. Also, when I start mining with my i5-2500k it gets about 40 kh/s, and both of those are decent for the product. When I start mining with both my CPU kh/s drops to 25 kh/s and my GPU drops to about 130 kh/s making it slower than if I just mine with my GPU. I have 4GB of RAM if it's me possibly running out of RAM. Any ideas on why this may be happening?
I venture a guess that cpu power is actually somewhat useful to controll gpu and system, have you tried setting affinity to free one core from mining for system stuff?
No, my .bat file has it running on all 4 threads of my processor, I'll try running it on 3 :)
edit: My CPU is getting 40 kh/s now (which is great). However, my GPU still drops down to about 125 kh/s
I'm testing it on my amd p2 940 be on 3 cores atm - gpu seems unaffected and I'm doing 15K cpu wise according to litecoin wallet
I set my CPU to mine on one thread and neither my CPU or GPU drops in performance now. :p So, i guess it's solved :O
guess we need to do a bit more googling on the subject ;)
anyhoo since the site stats updates stopped my stale halved, submit time dropped 3fold and there is no more weird responses from server - maybe the service was accidentaly set to operate on 1 core? :P
