Hi I am mostly a windows guy and have rarley ever used linux but recentley I installed ubuntu onto my laptop and it runs great.

so my question is is there any reccomendations to personalise my new ubuntu experince!

im in a honymoon stage with ubuntu and am loving it so far but for the long term is there anything to make it more interesting, like apps or cool programs.

 

any help is greatley appriciated

So... for programs just search in the software center. If you want a completely new experience you can install different desktop environments (mate, cinamon, gnome3, awesome, etc) and see if you like one more than unity, which you can also adjust with a few tools (unity tweak tools and so on). And make sure to check out a few themes...
