Linux mouse sensitivity Issue / help

So i have recently decide to take the jump to linux from windows. So far all is going well, however the one issue i do have and cant seem to figure out how to change, is the mouse sensitivity / DPI.

I am running linux mint 18.3 Cinnamon. I see and try to change the settings undo “mouse & Touchpad” but nothing really changes.

Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated.

Don’t use xset. If the /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/ directory doesn’t exist, you should be able to just create it.
