Linux Mint not working?

Just installed Linux mint by putting the iso on DVD, then booting of DVD, selecting the option on the desktop which says: "Install Linux Mint", converting 150 Gb partition to Ext4 and continue installing

Instalation finished i tried to restart but while shutting down there was some kind of error, so after waiting i pressed the Power Button long to shut the Pc down

I boot again but in the menu which lets me select Ubuntu and Windows  Linux Mint does not show up

(Ubuntu is installed alongside Windows)

Do i need something additional if i want Linux Mint show up in the start menu or did just anything go wrong

what video card are you rocking? it sounds like a driver clash (this is a common).

also you should be able to add mint to grub through ubuntu.

could you explain this add mint to grup through ubuntu a bit more
