Hello, i wanna try Linux but im not sure where to download it also if i can doul boot with win 8
ubuntu.com
Just google your distro (ubuntu, mint, manjaro what ever) of choice and download it from the official site. And yes you can dual boot with win 8.
AATENTION A book has been written below.. haha JK!!
Before I get to suggestions.. Look up the Main Distros
Ubuntu
Fedora
OpenSuse
Linux Mint
Then go ahead and google
Gnome
KDE
XFCE
LXDE
MATE
Cinnamon
Desktop enviroments
When you have settled on a good looking environment then look at which distro has the generally best support of it.. I.E Fedora is great with gnome but not as well supported with KDE
Opnesuse prefers KDE
Linux Mint likes MATE and Cinnamon..
It really is personal preference...
Here is what I suggest.. Gnome or KDE on Ubuntu 14.10 (so you continue to get good kernel improvements) or KDE/Gnome on opensuse 13.2 .. Open suse is great because of its YAST2 Control panel... Its absolutley fantastic... but if you want something less complicated... I suggest Ubuntu Gnome 14.10.. Its simple.. elegant and well quite frankly pretty darn useful in terms of its UI layout
DUAL BOOT:
Yes you can dual boot.. Fedora Linux mint Ubuntu and Opensuse all have UEFI grub bootloader support now
Tip: Shrink your windows parition in windows if you only have one hard drive then partition the install of linux through the live installer... Saves time.
installing:
You have two routes with the live image... Burn it to a DVD (easy but wasteful)
put it on a USB disk... Here is a fantastic program to do that with
Skip on the persistence file if you dont need a mobile bootable image.. :D
go to this website for a good source

Distrowatch.com has some good info to. I would take a look that and maybe that will help you which flavor to try. Maybe youtube one and see what it looks like when being used. Some people have video reviews on them.
