Linux, dvorak, and TF2 (and possibly other games as well)

If the placement of the topic is inappropriate please move it.

I use dvorak. Previously games such as TF2 didn;t have a problem with recognising keymaps. Now, when I play something like TF2 it automatically formats to qwerty instead of the system keymap. Windows knows how to handle this pretty well and it switches inbetween keymaps for games that do not recognise other maps (GTA 5 being a perfect example).

However since I use dvorak this is a bit of a problem. @DeusQain might have an answer but any insight as to how to fix this would be neat.

Thank you for your time.

This isn't OS, but game specific. I have a myriad of games that are coded to the Letter and not the Key on the keyboard, even in Windows.

Ultimately I just re-map the controls on the games that don't swap keymaps.

Is there a way I could make it work? The odd part is that TF2 in windows maps to DV but locks to QW in linux. It just seems weird to me that they would do it on one and not the other...

They are not the same program. While they are the same game, the program code is arguably different.

Ohhhh ok. Would it be more worth my time to just enter QW and make a keycombo to switch between?

I sometimes do that, or I go into the game and change all the controls.
