Linux dosent like my amd CPU so whean i go to install one of them i get nothing :P

plese help get threw the graphics problem

i see the msi boot advert

it boots into the installer i click install

make nouise and nothing show on screen

Sorry, mate, but that makes little sense. What exactly is the problem? CPU or GPU?

If you have an APU it's most likely the on board graphics, if you are talking a dedicated GPU then it's an AMD GPU, AMD graphics on linux have always been pretty bad

Not true, that was in the ATI days, since AMD took over they've been on the forefront of linux support, they are the best graphics option in linux by far now.

its an amd apu it make the boot sound but dosent show anything

i agree going from an Intel windows machine to an AMD Linux box iv seen better video quality

you've given absolutly no relevent information

  1. does it show the bios splash screen (big msi logo on the screen when it starts up)
  2. do you get to the live installer
  3. where/when are you encountering an issue

whean it boots into the installer it makes the boot noise and dosent show anything on screen just black but the monitor light is green still ill update my status

Do you have ONLY the onboard graphics?

yes its anAMD apu a10 5800k

to all i just found out about a lite distro of Linux called manjaro witch i will be switching to thanks for trying to help

You're going to have to give some more info.

What distro did you want to use, did you do an install or did you try to run a live distro.

Since you're not getting anything beyond BIOS, my suspicion is that you just have no bootloader.

Did you make a bootable USB stick? Did you burn an image onto a DVD.

Some more info please, are we're not going to be able to provide much help.

no its works it the fact i try to install it didnt show due to graphics but ive found a distro know to work with amd graphics
