Linux And Windows 7

Should I install Ubuntu alongside Windows 7, with version 13.04? I'm wanting to run Linux, but still keep Windows. I know how to do this already, it's fairly easy with 13.04 now.

yes?

Sounds like a good idea. You could always just use it as a VM?

Depends what you use it for?

:)

If you have the HDD space go for it. Linux is awesome. If you're daring you could even try Arch, it has excellent documentation.

yes. im currently running mint 15 kde and windows 7 on my laptop.

windows gets 80 gigs... sadly windows is bloated and even removing page files, restore points, and other non necisary things in /c:/windows... it is still taking up 6.5 gigs of space or something like that. with all my windows dev stuff, i have about 40 gigs of space for games.

linux has 300 gigs for my home folder mount point, and 20 gigs for the root mount point.
