Is there a good linux alternative to Wifi Info View?
Need to see hidden ESSID, channels, signal…
There’s a wide range of tools for this on Linux. If you want to use something without a lot of setup required, consider airodump-ng from aircrack-ng. In case you want something with an actual UI, try Kismet.
Note that you will need a wifi device that has a driver which supports monitor-mode for all of this.
I personally use a TP-Link Archer T2UH, which has decent support since kernel 4.20 and can do AC/5GHz.

What card do you have?
I don’t have a stand-alone card, its a laptop wireless adapter some Intel 9xxx 802.11AC
That will work. You may need to pass an argument to the driver module in case you experience driver crashes, as seen on:
