Linux 5.2 IOMMU Changes Allow For More Flexible Intel VT-d Alternative To SR-IOV

Does this mean we can get sr-iov like features on consumer cards?

If so, @wendell will you be making a video about this?

So at computex last year I was talking to a guy from Intel and he said, summarizing here and there are some gotchas, that Intel wanted the igpu to be available like sr-iov … and that there existed or they were working on sr-iov support for igpu. This is what that evolved into. It’s a little more flexible than sr-iov in that resources can be dynamically allocated.

More details to come obviously but exciting times ahead.
