Lightweight Web Analysis Tool

Hi @all,

I'm currently searching for a self-hostable solution for Web Analysis of my own web page.
It should be lightweight and obviously open-source.

I already looked at Piwik and OpenWebAnalystics, however those seem to be quite heavy. I honestly don't want to creep on my visitors (like Google and partially the aforementioned tools do).

The main feature I'm looking for is page views.

Any recommendations? (also: What were your experiences with Piwik/OWA like?)

Mostly my own (static) stuff. (HTML)

Really kind of you. But that is not the solution I'm looking for.

As you probably know, storing high-traffic data (and even writing to it) on memory is a bad idea.
Also this does not hold any information about unique users. The solution you proposed could actually be implemented better by reading directly from /var/log/nginx/access.log.

I was searching for a lightweight application.

you could easily write a script to calculate hits per amount of time.

I know that. But Open Source is all about not re-inventing the wheel again and again.

@LAJW Thanks, I'll have a look at that.
