Lightening arrester

Salutations, I'm trying to find a lightening surge protector to use between two rg6 coaxial cables for my pole mounted cell booster antenna. It's a solidRF SOHO Dual Bands booster its a 50 ohms system and they use rg6 75 ohms? Any suggestions that would work would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Lol there is no such thing as a real lightning arrested when it comes to cable or telecom.

Best bet is something like this that a screw down lug for a ground wire.

Or a regular splitter, they have spots for a small ground lines as well and have a small fuse inside. If that fuse gets any extreme voltage it will stop any current.

In reality any lightning strike that touches those lines there is not shit you can do.
No matter how much you ground and protect lightning will blow through it. Either of those should help, I would try and use both though if possible.

Thanks alot of places are calling those lightening arrestors. lol I just want to call them surge protectors. xD

Theyre called that because ISPs label them "lightning arrestors (protectors)" so you cant sue them if your shit blows through your telco or cable lines.

No matter how well we ground things just about every thunder storm hundreds of modems and routers are blown. Along with a good bit of other electronics connected to them.

I just don't want my house to burn down or electrical electrical system to take any damage if a strike does happen its what ever if I lose the booster its only a 150 bucks.

If it's far away from everything else and only the coax line is connected it shouldn't fry anything else.

Coax can only carry so much current before the copper core breaks.

Just isolate the coax, put it on its own circuit, and use a pair of fiber transceivers to create an isolated network.
