Life, The System is Corrupt :(

Is it just me or does the system in the world make people feel depressed ? The system is not fair in Life :frowning:

Life isn’t fair.

Cowboy the fuck up.

Accept it.

Work to improve your life.

Don’t wallow in self pity. It doesn’t help.

the system is never fair for those at the bottom. only when you let it truly bother you does it lead to depression. but those who recognize what it means to truly thrive are the ones who break through the unfair system and reach the heavens of happiness.( or like @DerKrieger mentioned cowboy the fuck up and get busy living.)

That was kind of tree hugging for you… making progress

DerKrieger it’s easier said than done to accept the system but thanks

The norm is changing the system even if it takes your lifetime. More than likely will not be easy and has a price to pay. In the end… you more than likely will not be able to make a difference for yourself but it is possible to make it better for the next gen.

I keep saying it is not easy to stay positive in this hard unfair life :frowning:

Phases… sometimes it is the journey and not the goal. Learn to take joy in things no matter how small.

I’m being serious :frowning: This picture represents how I feel about the corrupt system :frowning:

Not bad… impressed.

Is there something you can do about it?

If yes, is it worth doing something about?

If yes, do something about it

If no, then it isn’t worth worrying about in the first place

accept it as an inconvenient truth and work with through it

This is true. Think about it this way. (I have to in order to be productive)

Being a plebeian (commoner, average person) means that you have little control over what the government officials do. Just try not to focus on it. If you’re getting depressed from it, clean your room. I’m serious. When your life has too much chaos in it, you get depressed. Cleaning your room is an act of creating order from chaos and it’s something that you can spend 5 minutes doing or 5 hours doing. It’s all about just making progress and moving forward.

From there, you’ve got some momentum to do things. From there, get some errands done, sort out some things around the house, apply to some jobs (if you don’t have one), whatever it is that can move you forward in life.

Life will never be fair, but I can tell you this: With enough effort and focus, you absolutely can beat the odds. Look at Neil DeGrasse Tyson or Ben Carson. Two highly successful individuals who grew up in a bad situation but made the best of it. I personally know plenty of people in similar situations, but they wouldn’t be recognizable examples for you.

Also keep in mind that humans are social creatures and talking on forums doesn’t count as socialization. Go out and try to interact with people if you don’t do that on a daily basis. If I go more than 6-8 hours without talking to someone, I get depressed.

Look on the bright side, at least we have alcohol, drugs and hookers.

I’ll take the first (a bit, anyways… I’m a lightweight), leave the second and third.

You guys are not supposed to make me look like the reasonable one…

well, I try to stay more straight-edge than I was in my early 20s because I’ve found that if you can focus on productive things you live a pretty decent life.

This.

Go live out in the woods for a year and tell me if the wolves and the cold care about a fair system.

Ask yourself if the system is fair when you are killing your next meal.

After the 2nd or 3rd night of thirst, you will be begging for your local congressman to oppress you.

What do they call this… the age of deceit? World of lies… or what have you… look around you and observe.
Santa Clause
Easter Bunny
Tooth fairy.
These are just a few of the lies your parents willingly taught you as a way of life… and if you have children you willingly teach them the same lie…
But that poor child better not lie about stealing a cookie from the cookie jar.
you are right … it is the system…and unfortunately the system keeps running until the last human stops the gears. If one human stops the gears of the great machine… the gear gets replaced… One is not enough.
That being said we only have two choices…
Get busy living… or
Get busy dying.
Life is full of wonderful challenges, and you are welcome to hold any perspective you like… that is the power of free choice. No one can think for you or feel for you… And in there is your only true power.
You can’t beat the system… the tire will always get flat, no matter what street you drive down… all that is left is how long does one scream curse and hate, before they fix the flat and just simply carry on their journey.

Everyone dies eventually. Learn to enjoy life through nihilism or become a buddhist.
