Hello, i recently got a decomissioned supermicro x11 LGA3647 server. And i would want to know what torque driver i should get to replace the thermal paste and also for when i want to swap the cpu’s out
this is the one i am thinking about a Shahe driver available on aliexpress for 20 ish euro. tho there are 2 options i am unsure about there is one that goes to from 0.5NM to 3NM with .05NM increments and that should reach the 1.35NM required or should i get the 1NM one to 6NM That goes to 1.3 or 1.4NM but not 1.35 they both have a ± 6% error rate
both options cost arround the same price or is there a other option i should look into. available to get in Europe for 60 euro max delivered. with maybe a smaller error rate
I’m sure you’re overthinking it with a precision dynamometric screwdriver. Have you seen how Intel on their official website recommends to install the CPU? A cordless drill with torque dialed to minimum
Probably you’re right, this isn’t really a full fledged drill (or at least not it’s primary function) but rather a cordless driver. Still looks like a thing with a gearbox, to me automatically falls into “power tools” bucket
this is the one i was looking at they sell for 20 a 25 euro depending on the exact moddel i was looking at the moddel called 3 or 6. as well just want to be sure i don’t brick it.
moddel 6 has a bit more uses as that range 1-6NM also covers some things on bicycles.
