I will also have two of these in a dual monitor setup, is the frame on the side too thick?
You generally don't care about frames with two monitors. Frames are only in the way when you are gaming and games can't use two monitors.
Stand on this monitor looks like it can't rotate and I personally think it's very important to be able to turn one monitor to portrait in dual monitor setup.
I generally recommend Dell U2312HM in that price range. Aside from image quality, those have really good stands with adjustable height, tilt and rotation, which really helps when you have several monitors.
I would go with the Dell U2312HM but the place I'm purchasing from doesn't have it. They have good prices, and going anywhere else would be to expensive and a hassle.
Out of them I decided on the LG IPS 24" 24EA53V-P mainly because of it's price. It also has HDMI and DVI, which is what I need, other than that, I think it looks nice and has decent performance. So yeah I'll go with it. Now that I know the frame isn't a problem I'm set (unless there are any problems with it that I am not aware of).
I really distrust any technology-purveyor that doesn't understand how to make a website that won't stretch the images.
I don't like viewsonic, and although AOC makes a pretty monitor, the stock color gamut is really weak. I suspect some fiddling about in the settings could fix it, since many of the panels are the same anyway. LG, Asus, Dell are all great brands for monitors.
