Level1 DP KVM - Mac Studio display lost after wakeup

Hi Everyone,

I have a 1.4 Display Port KVM Switch - Dual Monitor - Two Computer model, with a PC and a Mac studio. I have two Samsung S32D850T 32" LED LCD monitors, are they are connected via DP 1.4 (Capshi DisplayPort Cable 1.4, 8K DP Cable 6.6FT, Amazon) and from Mac to KVM via Thunderbolt to DP ( Warrky USB C to DisplayPort Cable). There are a couple of issues I am facing:

  1. PC to Mac display loss: If I wake up the Mac studio from sleep, it wakes up and the display is there. If I switch to PC, the PC also wakes up (the windows are not organized as before). But if I switch back to Mac, I do not get any display. However, if I switch after the sleep time of Mac, the display is connected again. In order to get the Mac display to connect again, I have to switch the thunderbolt ports on the back of the Mac and then everything reconnects. Am I missing something here with the Mac thunderbolt to DP connection?

  2. Mic issues: I have a Logitech Brio, and I get feedback issues on the Mac. I have tried multiple different mics and every time its the same feedback issues with different virtual call platforms (zoom, teams, discord). There are no issues on the Mac.

Would you suggest any solutions for the problems above.

For the display, not all usbc to dp adapters are created equal. It is likely the usbc to dp adapter. You might try a usb powered hdmi to dp adapter, or a different brand of usbc to dp adapter with the mac. Generally this is not a problem, though, for other customers with a similar setup.

For the brio is it connected via hid or usb3? if you have tried both types of ports unplug the kvm for one minute and then plug it back in and try a usb3 port. The usb3 ports are straight passthrough so nothing in them would cause the brio to be detected differently.

The hid ports that isnt necessarily true… hid has a lot of stuff in it including a universal audio video codec. uvc audio/video devices work really well via hid ports but the brio may need to work via usb3. There is a couple different hardware versions of the brio, too. It might be helpful for me to have a pic of the numbers area of the brio to cross reference with compatibility notes here so we can fix it via a hid port. usb3 port should work fine though as long as the kvm has been reset.
