Lepa G750 - My recomendation: do not buy

So about a month ago (maybe a little more than that) bought myself this psu: Lepa G750-MAS.

It all started with a nice package. Everything looked extremely promising, the accessories were good, 80+ Gold certified and the PSU itself looked amazing. What could possibly go wrong, right?

Let's hook it up! Right after I've done that and turned my PC on, nothing but an extremely loud fan noise. Ok, let's do a restart. Same...

After I've rebooted that thing for about 5 times it finally posted. But what didn't go away was the AMAZING (not in a good way) fan noise that could wake the dead up. And yes I have a good enough case (R4 to be specific).

So I decided to put the PSU under some stress by runing some benchmarks (Unigine, Kombustor and other ones too). After that the PSU became silent again (not under Load). I thought to myself "Great, let the games begin." Not the case.

As soon as I started anything CPU/GPU related (Either a game or an editing software like Sony Vegas or Source Filmmaker), all of the quitness was gone. I could live with 60-70db's if I'm gaming because I game with headphones. And the PSU didn't ramp up while I was watching movies so I was kinda OK with that.

After about a month I ordered a 140mm noctua fan to change the PSU stock one (I've done that before with 0 trouble).  While I was waiting for the fan to come I kept using the PC normally. On a pretty casual day I put my system to sleep for the night. Next morning as I woke up doing my casual morning routine turned my pc on. It seemed to be on but not a thing on the screen. "Ok, let's restart that thing." And this is where the fun part begins.

It turned on for about 1-2 seconds before shutting down again. Wth!? Tried to turn it back on again, same thing. The pc shuts down almost immediately. Disconnected every unnecessary hardware like HDD's and Raid Card to see if it will post. Nothing but the same problem.

Let's do the Green-Black pin trick to see for how long will the PSU stand. It turned on with an insane coilwhine but it kept running.

So it's dead. Great. RMA, we meet again.

Next time I'll be getting Seasonic (I will pay extra if needed ;) )

Assuming that your fan exchange wasn't the causing the problems:

Every company and product line will have bad samples that slip quality control.

You have a sample size of one, you can't draw any conclusions from that. Have you looked around whether other people have Problems with it.

Why didn't you claim warranty if it only was about a month old ? Shouldn't you give them a chance to fix their mistake before you badmouth them ?

I think you run into bad luck unfortunatly, you could allways run into bad luck just rma the thing.

Lepa is a very decent brand, when you had those troubles from the start, it was better that you send it back inmedatly, because those things shouldn´t happen.  Lepa is normaly very decent, so i will expect that if you get a new one, your problems should be solved.

Lepa G is supposed to be a really solid choice of power unit. I would trust it over most lines of Corsair unit, probably including the HX.
