Building my first rig, and looking at keeping it relatively cheap. I may have screwed up in some parts of this, so CONSTRUCTIVE criticism would be appreciated.

I don't even know how well this would run Half Life 2.......
You need a very very high end system to max crysis, let alone run it.
But I assume you're on a really tight budget. Grab something like this; http://pcpartpicker.com/p/PHwf
For 400$ you should be able to at least PLAY nearly any game. Not counting crysis and other intense games though. Could switch to a 7750 for some exter' performance. Usually you can find a 7770 for around 90$ though!
yes please give some budget. cause for crisis 3 you need better then this realy.
if you realy wantto play the newest games like crysis 3 BF3 bioshock etc then think about something like this. to start, this is able to play all new games on high. notice you can allways decide later, wenn you update the motherboard bios, to upgrade the cpu to a FX6300 or FX8350 in the future. but you cant do any overclocking on this motherboard, but if you never attempting doing overclocking its a good board.
i dont knowhow it works with those rebates and stuff but if you take tha advaniced of it you can have this for 464 dollar. most games must be playable on this eaven Crysis 3 at mid settings. and maybe eaven high if you put some filters back to medium settings.
They make even cheaper cases; get whatever is the a absolute cheapest, and get a little more than 4GB of memory (maybe a 2x4GB kit) that way you won't have to throw that RAM out when you upgrade.
that red amd case looks very cool, i gues thats the case you suggested in youre start post, so i kept it in, ofc there are cheaper cases to get, but this case looks awesome.
about the gpu, yes it looks cool, for that price it was the nicest looking card i could find about looks and specs. other cards look realy horrible.
Probably the best you can possibly get for the money. I have rebates off along with a few sites that don't include shipping in their prices or I just don't really wanna buy from. Since it's AM3 you can switch to a piledriver or even the next series of AMD chips once you find it necessary or build the funds. You won't need a ram upgrade, and a 7770 is honestly not a bad card. Sure it will probably not be for Crysis or anything, but it WILL be able to at least play most games and could probably play Bf3 on high/max settings. The CPU will of course hold some small drawbacks, but it fits the 7770 perfect.
I took out the PSU. I have one to put in (I just remembered) , after that, I had a bit of wiggle room. This is what I developed. (not ignoring yours, just trying to see my options.) Feedback?
