The recent Windows 10 update - KB4482887, causes performance regression for some gamers. The bug happens to both AMD and Intel CPU’s. They are working on the hotfix but if you have problems uninstall the update.

That’s some talent… speed up gaming due to Spectre mitigations and completely borks gaming… on Ryzen machines too.

Yeah things like that are hard to test especially with all the games out there.
They are really hard to test when you fire all your QA peeps.
While that is true. No matter how many people you have in your company it’s hard to test every update for all the available configurations to even 1/10 of the games in the steam library.
