Ordering the parts for my new build tomorrow night and would like some last thoughts before I order. Nit pick away!

Note: I already have a 750 watt PSU, SSDs and storage drives. I also have an HAF X chassis but I'm wanting to downsize. Also I'll be adding a custom water cooling unit in June and SLI in a few years.
Everything seems legit. Hope everything arrives on-time and in good conditions. Also update us on how the actual build goes but otherwise I think you are good to go. Good Luck ^_^
"Nit pick away!" Well...I wasn't going to but okay.
$1214.93 is a lot of money to be spending to not have an upgrade path to 32GB of RAM. Seriously just get a cheaper cooler like an 212 EVO and spend the difference on a 2x8GB kit. Even my $700 build has 24GB. RAMdisks are fun.
A legitimate concern, and I've taken into consideration RAMdisks but at the end of the day all I want this thing to do is: Play games at 1080p, do virus scans (I run a repair business from home so I get a bunch of those), and other misc things of course. 8 gigs of ram is completely acceptable for my needs. I like the idea of having 16, but it'd mostly be lost.
Just my two cents, Grab a noctua Nh D14 and get a higher end Asus board like this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131989
Or my favorite: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131989
Why? Well first of all, asus boards are more reliable. Second of all you will get more stable overclocks and you can even push your OC further. You will also be good with a MSI board like this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130691
or even this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130693
As you can see I am sort of anti-asrock because of a some bad experiences with them. They're "OK" for small budgets but clearly you're not on a small budget.
The Nh D14 is actually great, run it myself, but that's if you want to cut corners to get a better board. If you're okay with dropping that extra money, any one of the boards I mentioned above plus the Kraken will make a nice overclocking combo!
Thank you, that's actually an oversight on my part and that's why I made this thread! I'm a huge fan of MSI, I have the GE40 laptop and love it so I went with one of their boards. I'm confident I can push the i5 to 4.5 ghz on there.
And I understand your two cents on Asrock. My first build ever was a gigabyte MB that crashed constantly so I'll never buy a gigabyte product again.
Additionally I hate having a huge chunk of metal cooling off my processor, so I chose to go with a CLC for the time being.
Boy that's some ugly ram. I added this after my last update though: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231428
Because I would have never forgiven myself if I didn't fix that. But thanks for noticing and pointing it out. If I wouldn't had thought about it that would have been a life saver.
You know I think your HAF X would match the MSI Z87 GD 65 better with the red and black theme. Plus it has alot more room for expansion for watercooling loops. If you can stick with that and make the best out of it, you can save money, get that really nice ROG motherboard with all the bells and whistles and be happier. But if you want portability than the Haf XB is great.
As for some fans I'm not really sure but stay tuned, I'll ask someone I know.
It's something I've been considering but I like the idea of being able to throw the XB on my desk and kinda display it. As far as the cooling goes my end goal is the add a 120mm rad and a 240 rad and loop in the CPU and GPU.
Hmm, that being said maybe I should go with the corsair h100i so I can just reallocate the 120mm fans over to the new rad.
I think I'll do that, so ditch the 140mm fans and lets go to 120.
That sure is...yellow. Thank you for the suggestion however I'll stay with the previous choice basically because I don't like yellow. Also I have a really good USB bluetooth adapter anyway since my laptops internal receiver wouldn't pick up a wiimote.
What I find funny about MPower stuff is that there are motherboards, RAM, and GPUs specifically designed with a black and yellow color scheme to match.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103190 These are good fans
I'm a big fan of corsair's static pressure series of fans. They don't have any LED version but they have that ring which you can change the color to red.
They have a quiet edition: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835181042
or a High Performance edition: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835181040
personally I'd go with the corsairs. You can just get an NZXT Hue for lighting.
Well if you kept that you could use a NZXT Kraken G10, watercooled your GPU, and used a corsair H100i to cool the CPU. Or maybe just bite the bullet right now and go custom watercooling already. I mean you plan to anyway. And if you just keep holding it off you might be wasting even more money.
If you ask me. I would just keep the HAF X. Ditch the H100i and HAF XB, then get a watercooling kit like this: http://www.frozencpu.com/products/21236/ex-wat-271/XSPC_Raystorm_750_EX360_Universal_CPU_Water_Cooling_Kit_New_Rev_4_Pump_Included_w_Free_Dead-Water.html?tl=g30c321s1310#blank
You will have so much room for more expansion and GPU blocks. And actually save money and not to mention better performance.
But if you're dead set on a smaller case, consider the Corsair Air 540, that's the king of cube cases in my opinion, great airflow, expansion, features and build quality.
