I remember watching some computex coverage and seeing a msi gaming laptop with a 4k screen. Would you ever invest in such a thing? I know if I had the money I would.
If I had the money for a laptop with a 4k screen, I'd buy the laptop just to have a small 4k screen, then bey 3 more of the laptops, and have an 8k display array. Take them out, wall-mount, profit.
After a certain amount of pixeldensity it isn't possible to destinquish one pixel from the other, you would only give your graphics card a hard time because it has to control a lot more pixels than usual. If the laptop would be a 24 Inch model I would consider, however a 15 Inch notebook or even a 17 Inch notebook doesn't benefit from the screen with this amount of pixels.
P.S. I have never seen a notebook with a 24 Inch screen.
I wonder what the ppi is on a 4k 17in display. Im too lazy to figure it out though.
Guise iz it posible 2 future proof my laptop with a 4k screen!? thnx 4 yur halp.
Display size 17 Inch: 14.82" × 8.33" (37.63cm × 21.17cm) = 276.44 PPI
The human eye can not see a difference beyond 300 PPI (notice that the distance from the screen (for 300 PPI to apply) is about 1cm (2/5 inch) from the screen.
