Laptop taking forever to boot, BIOS screen takes forever to show

Hi everyone, I’ve had my laptop for about a year and a half now (it’s custom built) and it’s been fine up until this point. Whenever I turn on my laptop, it takes an incredibly long amount of time to boot up. The post-BIOS screen boot is fast, but the BIOS splash screen itself takes a very long time to show (I was waiting for around 10 minutes today). I changed the hard drive for an SSD around 10 months ago, and that’s the only modification I have made, and it’s been running fine up until this past week. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

First thing that comes to mind is either a memory self-test that's failing or just waiting for some device that doesn't respond. On most desktop motherboards you can hide the splashscreen and have it show that info, not sure about laptops.
