Hello all, 

I just recently sold my Macbook Pro and I am looking for a new laptop. My budget is at most 700 USD. The only thing about this whole process that bothers me is the fact that I don't have anywhere around here that I can go and test out a product in person. So that is why I'm asking you guys.

The only thing I am really picky about is good build quality. Coming from the Macbook it would be hard for me to go back to a really flimsy plastic laptop. Preferrably 6 or more GB of RAM but it doesn't really matter that much. Will be using it mostly for school work maybe some casual gaming like minecraft or some indie titles. As always any suggestions are welcomed.

Just search Ebay man.

I would just search ebay but all you usually get there is a list of specs along with a paragraph begging you to buy the product in question. I just came here looking for some opinions on some laptops from people who have had hands on experience with them.

Ebay is probably where I will ultimately go first when I decide on a specific product but I want to get some opinions before proceeding. Thanks for the suggestion though and when it comes down to buying the thing ebay will definitely be where I go.
