Laptop startup faster than Desktop?

Hello, so first off this isn’t exactly a problem, just curious as to why this is happening.

My Desktop has a Samsung 850 EVO 250gb SSD for my OS, whereas on my laptop i only have a 5400 rpm HDD, yet my desktop takes roughly 8 seconds to boot to my desktop and have everything loaded (including my software such as Corsair, Logitech, Radeon etc.) Whereas my Laptop takes roughly 3-4 seconds. Is there something that’s making my desktop load slower, or is my laptop just somehow running fast. Thanks to any replies

I made a similar thread to this a while ago. However my desktop and laptop both boot from a SSD.

You may have fast boot enabled on your laptop, but not on your desktop. In my case I didn't have fast boot enabled on either, and I still haven't figuered out why my lower spec laptop boots significantly faster than my desktop. Maybe there is a setting in the bios I have overlooked; I may check today.

The difference might be due to the amount of devices that the motherboard has to initialize. Usually on desktop motherboards are present more controllers for different things so that's time the motherboard has to spend loading up in the correct order. For example an X99 motherboard boots slower than a Z97 one.
Also fastboot needs to be taken into account.

That!

The bigger the system, the longer it boots. Quad socket systems take several minutes, small phones only seconds.

The question is not how fast is possible but how fast is reasonable. For writing text and entering numbers into spreadsheets, you only need a phone...

My point was that my phone takes much longer to turn on than my desktop.
