KVM Model:
2 port usb-c KVM switch (CAHBP-P3122-13)
USB Interface (5-gigabit or 10-gigbit):
5-gigabit
Problem:
I’m not able to get any sound output on my laptop when connected to the kvm (options to choose speakers and headphones disappear). Disconnecting my laptop from the kvm shows my internal laptop speakers and headphones again.
Plugging speakers into the headphone jack on the kvm does not work as well.
Any assistance would be appreciated. Thank you!
Other Notes:
Windows 11 OS

Hello,
@Level1_Amber any thoughts on what my issue could be?
Thanks in advance!

Hi! thank you for the poke.
Have you used any of the audio hotkeys? You might try resetting them in case some have accidentally been pressed:
Audio
Key Sequence
Function
Hotkey Leading Code + F5
Audio Follow Port Selection (ON / OFF)*
Hotkey Leading Code + A
Force Audio Follow to Current Port

Unfortunately the hotkeys didn’t make a difference. Any other suggestions? For the record, this doesn’t seem to be an issue with another laptop I own.
Any thoughts on what I should try next? Thanks in advance!
Have you tried a USB dac? Something like this?
What do you think @wendell ?
