I am going off to school in less then a month to study engineering and I am looking for a new laptop. I want something thin yet still powerful I am going to do some gaming and some things with cad. Also I was hoping I would find one with a good screen and battery as well. My price that I can spend is any thing under 1300 dollars. thanks you guys are the best.
I recommend for college/university an ultrabook. I myself have Zenbook UX31E. Only less than 1cm thick you can carry it around for notes in lectures etc. Usually these laptops have decent battery life in office work (word, excel etc.). But if you want to use it for a little bit gaming etc. I would recommend the Gigabytes ultrabooks like Gigabyte U24T / U24F. The Nvidia GT 750M 2 GB should give you enough of punch to play most of the games. Maybe not in ultra settings but will do.
