Im getting a Laptop with the Radeon 7970M GPU, and I was wondering what the Desktop GPU equivalent to that would be?
pretty sure i saw Logan say on one video its equivalent to a 7870, which is actually pretty amazing!

Mobile cards are never as good as the desktop "numerical" equivalent, so a 7970m is not equivalent to a 7970.
I remember Logan saying that the 7970m was almost as good as the 7870, but not sure how true that is. Go do some googling and see if you can find two seperate articles where the 7970m and the 7870 are benchmarked using the same test. Seems like that would be the easiest/cheapest way to make a halfway decent comparison.
I find this site is petty good for mobile GPU benchmarks and is updated regularly.
