Laptop LAN Trouble (Solved)

Don’t know if anyone can help me with this but I am having some trouble with the LAN connection on my Asus Q550LF.

The issue is it simply doesn’t work. Plug in the cable and nothing happens. Opening up device manager reveals this:

I have tried rolling back the drivers, I have tries reinstalling them to no avail.

Occasionally a hard restart will fix it sometimes not. Sometimes it will be working fine but when I wake the computer up it will not work again.

Any ideas?

Is it possible that it may have something to do with the software that I have to have on the laptop to be able to connect to the internet at the University I teach at occasionally. ClearPass OnGuard, Symantec EndPoint Protection, and Aruba QuickConnect?

It may be possible that some of that software messed with your driver. Quick question, have you recently performed a clean install of the OS? Not saying that you should, but asking if you have. Also, can you still connect via WiFi?

Thanks for the help but I got it working. It was the piece of shit software the University requires. Reinstall of that and we are good to go. So weird it made it out to be a hardware issue.
