The title says it all. My cousin will be going to Uni soon and is currently playing very few games on a extremely old rig. When I say old I mean an Athlon 64 and a Nvidia nforce GPU. He has 1k at the most to spend on a laptop and wants to casualy game. Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks a lot.

Well it's close to 1k
Well, honestly the performance between 600-1,000 in a laptop for gaming..is like nothing. The reason for that being, the AMD A10 has graphics about equal to a 650 or maybe even better, maybe a little worse. Most laptops until around 1,100 have like...an i5 and 650 paired. So may as well just roll with an A10 and not spend the extra money. Honestly, I dunno what Uni is. But a cheap laptop and good gaming desktop is always a good combo if possible.
