so i have had a Samsung series 3 modle: np355v5c-aoeuk witch i got from pc world when i was still a noob at pc and basically went in and asked for a laptop with windows 7 and at least 8Gb ram with a separate graphics card and ended up with this shitty windows 8 thing with 6 Gb ram and a apu.
and have had problems with it ever since i got it from not saving my settings to moving all my desktop items all to one side when i open games. but them issues i can deal with i mean sure its annoying but it doesn't ruin any thing. but one thing what has ruined my entire steam library is the fact that curtain games like Skyrim, day Z and any games that i enjoy just crash after 5 mins but not compleatly crash like turn the computer off crash they just cause the screen to go black and that's it and to turn it back on i have to unplug the battery and charger if any one can answer this issue i would be sooooo happy
here are some things that i have tested that don't cause the "crashes"
- its not over heating as it stays at the same temp 59 C
- settings too high i can put skyrims graphics to full and no lag at all same for day z
- the game uses too much power i can go on ESO and turn all settings to max and not lag a bit
- too many programs open i turn all the unnecessary programs off before i do any thing
- game play... it crashed even in the main menu
- glitch first i have not found any one with the same problems and two it happens every time no matter what i change or do.
i will say this again if you helped me thank you sooo much and thanks to every one who has answered my past questions i really do owe you guys one.
oh and before i forget NO ONE EVER BUY THIS MODEL OF LAPTOP EVER!!!
It may be something like your registry. Trying something simple like reinstalling GPU drivers and maybe even running CCleaner. If that doesnt work you may want to reinstall Windows. Windows 8 should not be the problem because most games fixed their compatibility issues by now. Let me know how it goes.
It ain't the hammer at fault it's the arm swinging it.
>drivers >updates >patches >clean system >laptop airflow
ahhh good idea and i know it works on a lot of computers but it has an apu so it has no gpu in the first place unless im not understanding something but ccleaner is a good idea thanks for the help man =)
Even though it has an iGPU there is still a driver for it. In order to help you find it I need one thing what size HDD is it?
Edit: from what I gathered from samsung's support site it looks like it is either an A10-4600M or A6-4400M. Both have different iGPU's than the other.
2nd Edit: I take all of that back the two laptops that I am looking at only have Windows 7 drivers available. Try using slimdrivers or DriverPack Solution because I can not find the specific model. I see a lot of np355v5c but none that end in aoeuk. Best of luck.
yea i understand what u mean when u say its hard to find info on it the box the laptop came in had 2 sheets of paper 1 was a warranty the other was a safety sheet the only info that came with the lap top was the stickers on the fron and back of it. it seems like it was a laptop model samsung made then quickly took back as you cant find them online or any information on them. but i think the aoeuk is the country i live in the uk
thanks for all the help oh yea and its A A8 processor quad core and it says amd radeon graphics.
