I’ve recently built a Threadripper Pro system with Nvidia L20 GPU (similar die for L40s, but limited on performance and huge price down) for my AI setup and got and second OS, windows, for occasional gaming.
For some reason the I’ve got some issues over this:
- could not get sound to output on the DP (no HDMI port).
- cannot show boot/bios screen and scrub until it get into windows
I’m temporary using a second GPU for the booting info (including when I need to switch OS) and sound output. But still wanted to know if that’s fixable.
Information on my changes to make it work as current state:
- switch the vbios to display output, 256MB? using Nvidia tool
- use WDDM driver on windows
- bios Above 4G enabled, Rebar Auto
- bios CSM disable
