Got some data to back up that statement?

If you can read dutch?
But the entire interwebs is probably full of it as well.

Let’s see the source then; I’m interested in this, because I’ve been seeing the opposite: that the EV market has gone from exponential growth to sustainment phase now.

I think the market is down as a whole, ICE or EV. Been thinking about picking up a used tesla and a heat pump drier at the same time.

I talk alotta shit, but EV’s have a place (when the battery tech gets there, which it’s not) but I do not believe ICE vehicles should be forced to subsidize EV’s.

Just like my city bike is a RC390, not a Panigale V4…gah, I regret not just doin that.

Most people would be best served by an EV Corolla or blazer, something easy and practical. Outside the city though, diesel and gas cars rule and will continue to do so for at least a generation.

We had a cold snap and have been sub 30 degrees for a week straight, single digits now. Clients keep complaining how their cars now have 2/3-1/2 of the range in the cold and they can’t drive to the next nearest city and back (120 miles round trip) without being scared it’ll need a recharge.

I think the batteries are fine for what people use a car for 90% of the time which is back and forth to work.

I would just plug it in every night anyway.

There is a middle ground between the 390 and v4 though lol.

I would only consider a tesla because of FSD anyway.

Going to be a hard sell for other EVs unless it has openpilot support.

I enjoy not driving the appliance through the rat race.

idk about outright collapse… but isn’t looking good
I’m only happy, with this rug pull, against the hyper-aggro mandate(s) / Market BeeEss
I still want EVs to have [some] success

Uber-majority of Teslas I see , have been around the block for a bit
Only one singular Cybertruck-- gawd it is a pathetic monstrosity
The Ford EVs basically staled out [MachEs well outsold the Lightning]
Had to be reminded recent, the [Avalanche knockoff] Silverado EV is a thing
Any newer EVs, have been effectively new releases [Rivian SUV / EV Hummer / iD4]
Which has been, fairly small numbers

I’d love to drive an EV for my daily daycare run. But the cost is prohibitive.
I drive a 2.0L diesel for 4min, 5min turned off, 4min driving back. The car is still cold when I end my run. Have I mentioned all the toxic and stinking Abgase that my child and I inhale? That would be a perfect use case for EV, or plug-in hybrid.

Speaking of which, my ideal purchase would be a plug-in hybrid with 30km+ pure electric range.
I drive mostly under 30km daily with the occasional 60km drive and once or twice per month a 300km drive. Looking at the market there is no affordable new plug-in hybrid that could replace my used family hauler wagon.

Hell yea brother, roll coal!

Turn up the boost!

I miss my old ALH TDI. Fun little car… slow as hell, but fun.

The only viable option in Poland (for most families).

I wish diesel was more prevalent in small cars here.

Yeah, I got a Duc SuperSport
and it’s arguably worse than both in every way
In the city I can’t use the power even regeared
On the highway I need more power

My ideal purchase is a a diesel hybrid 1 ton single wheel crew cab shortbed truck pushing 3000 lb-ft of torque AND 1000 HP from a 7 liter inline 6 without compound turbos

but such is life, guess I’ll settle for a JLTV when they hit the surplus market

makes my HMMWV look so little

Honestly All I really need is Lane Centering and Adaptive cruise control. KIA only has me touch the wheel every once and awhile.

Thats really all open pilot is good for too but I dont touch anything and it works even in crappy weather or when the lane lines are vague.

I like the idea of full auto pilot type driving (lane changing by its self) but honestly I just dont want to drive in bumper to bumper or long run on the highway. I like the rest of it. So those 2 are all I need till its 100% just punch in address

you know what you must do…

it’s physically impossible to frown on a motorcycle

I dont think we’re ever going to see something that requires no intervention until its forced on everyone. Its too easy to game these auto driving systems once you know someone is using it lol.
