Mazdas CX90, makes use of an 3.3L I6-T [Either tuned to 280HP or 340HP]
Rented one for a few days, w/ 2nd row captain chairs
It was welcomingly smooth and punchy [*when necessary]
It wasn’t too tech / screen heavy – which I totally relished
I’m generally turned off, to these newer vehicles… I actually wouldn’t mind this one
Incoming CX70 is supposed, to also support this I6… Maybe the Mazda 6 too(?)
Yeah those big Mazda’s i was looking at he CX60 because of its towing weight.
However we only get the 2.5 four cylinder hybrid models.
The i6 was announced but we aint getting it.
I sold my VW GTI a few weeks ago. I had bought it new in 2010. I’d spent a long time looking for what I wanted next, and decided on an Audi S3.
I placed an order in November '23 and I was told it would be 6-9 months before delivery. As of 6/1 it hadn’t even been allocated to be built yet. So I found this one at a dealer online and had it shipped to mine.
2024 Audi S3, Python Yellow, Premium Plus trim with: Black Optics, Technology, and ‘S’ Sport packages, carbon fiber spoiler & mirror caps, sport exhaust resonator, black Audi rings and badges, Audi “S” beam logo puddle lights.
After a little over 2 weeks, I’m in love with the car. It’s a very worthy replacement for my beloved GTI.
@MisteryAngel you know. If you want to stop looking for cars you should use some money to buy the tools to fix it all yourself
Just got done give it all new fluids, filters etc
Asside from 3 repairs I need to make when the heat wave is over but overall the powertrain is ready for another 100k if and when I need to call upon it.
My secret has been using one brand of oil. Never changing/mixing. Always going with the highest grade synthetic.
Winter 0w-20
Summer 5w-30
Always using synthetic media filters that are a hit restrictive but exceptional at filtering
Fords man. Ive always had good luck. They never drop. They do require a bit more maintenance but if you do it… Always ends up being a work horse. We have some 90s and 80s era fords at my parents place. Still pulling strong.
The engineer on me wants to keep it and see how long it goes before the engine or transmission gives out. 450k miles and counting
Im a believer in products from both companies. Pennzoil interestingly has a different approach where they synthesize everything from natural gas to make ultra high quality base oils…
Now Gale Banks on the other hand has endorsed amsoil a good bit and that guys a legend. All things considered all my fluids come from them most of the time. Pennzoil only if availability is low from amsoil. Whats fascinating is instead of starting with a high quality synthesized low viscosity base oil that they must modify. They start with the joghest quality synthetic of the weight they desire then add viscosity modifiers to improve stuff. Which holds up WAY longer to sheer and oxidation
Fascinating watch. Dude really knows what he is doing
Also this was hella cool. I appreciate someone who does their due diligence when it comes to engineering something. Kind of want to get a cnc router now
