It is supposed to be orange. I forget what they called that color, but I have seen a darker orange. Probably someone trying to tone it down, but I wouldn’t do anything irreversible.

Ah, I didn’t look close enough.

That’s unfortunate. I’m pretty sure the bumpers are different for the Rs

Edit: If that thing’s running right you’re going to be all smiles while you’re driving it, and hopefully it has a cold air intake so you can hear the turbo noises, but do look into the AWD thing. I’ll look into it real quick.

It has running lights listed. Dont know if it is referring to those or not. And yea it is a different bumper, although it can be retro fitted. Realistically, that crack can just be repaired. Or stitched if Im lazy. It is AWD, from what I have seen the big thing to look out for are the front hub bolts coming loose.

Yeah, they have daytime running lights, but that just means the headlights stay on all the time, it’s supposed to be a safety thing… Still didn’t stop someone from wiping out my C70 though.

Definitely could, but I would try real hard to keep it as R as possible.

Fixing it would be better idea IMO.

Interesting. That wasn’t ever a problem for me, but I have 60 less HP.

When I’m old I willl grow awesome beard, buy farm and start growing Saabs

What I meant is this is what happens classically when a new technology actually has a viable path to take over… heavy resistance to change… world goes full autismo

It’s wasn’t a problem so the hunt goes on.

Lol, that’s bad.

I need to change the one in my Spark, the new filter has been sliding around my boot for probably 4 months now. I’m so lazy…

Got some updated news from the garage about my clutch,
and unfortunatelly it´s not good news.
They took the gearbox off, and the clutch was drenged in transmission oil.
What likely has happenend, is that some of the popnails broke off,
and went trough the gearbox housing.
This is likely where my oil leak came from.
Unfortunatelly this is a well known issue with the DUU gearbox.
Funny enough the box shifts normally like it should nothing wrong,
however the transmission oil leeks in the clutch housing.

So long story short, gearbox kaput and clutch as well.
Revision gearbox with one year warrenty + new clutch,
will cost me around 1300 euro.
Or i could go with a used gearbox with only one month warrenty,
and a new clutch but that will still cost me 900 euro.

So yeah, i guess this will be the end of my short adventure with Seat.
Because i don´t think that it would be worth investing that money anymore.

Never any VAG product for me again…

I’m still doubting if i should get rid of the car or not…
I’m kinda considering to trow a used gearbox with a new clutch into it.
This will cost me about 900 euro.
But yeah then it will be more worth in the end.

In its current state it won’t be worth anything.
And i still have to pay for the work that has already been done for it,
the diagnostic work.

Anyone used a PLX wideband controller? Praises comments or complaints?

Choices choices lol…

My opinion is that might not be worth it if there’s a chance of it just happening again. 900€ is a lot of money to put into an old car.

Would you be able to get everywhere you need without the car?

Nope unfortunately i do need a car for work.
I was kinda considering to get rid of it, and buy another car.
However yeah for like €900,- i cannot really buy anything reliable.
In the end it will cost me allot of money either way.

I still have a 9 month of MOT left on it.
So that’s why i’m kinda doubting what would be wise to do.
When i decide to repair it and drive till next mot.
Then at least the car will be more worth selling it till that time,
then it will be in it’s current state.
Because with a defect gearbox, transporting the car will cost me more,
then it will bring me when i get rid of it.

lol noticeable HP gains inbound.

Are going to need a narrowband output for your factory ECU?

If not, go with AEM X series. Best out there, hands down.

If you need narrowband, some of the AEM ones have a narrowband output. I forget which ones hto.

My ecu already has narrow band o2. It has additional ADC channels to connect a wb o2 for learning ve data. The plx kitis on sale $150
