Looking for a recommendation for a DisplayPort 1.4 to HDMI 2.1 adapter to suit connecting an RTX 4090 to a L1Techs HDMI 2.1 KVM. I happened to have an adapter from Plugable (can’t post link) in my box of bits, but when I tried to use it the monitor continually connects/disconnects so it seems it is not suitable despite allegedly being an active adapter.
I was hoping someone had a similar use case and could recommend one!
My use case is slightly different: DP 1.4 over usb4 of a laptop/my am5 system to hdmi 2.1 with an active adapter. I have found success with 2 different cablematters adapters (one usb4 hub, one simple adapter).
This after trying a Club3d adapter that did not work at all (rma‘d) and a sabrent one that worked but overheated after 10 minutes at 4K 120hz (cutting out and eventually not working).
We usually go with Club3D. A little expensive, but will probably work well:
