I saw on the store that the new Dual Monitor KVM is out of stock. I need one fairly soon, so I was wondering if you all know of any alternatives other than the L1 tech one that support freesync/gsync well and generally work ok? Otherwise, are there any updates on when the dual monitor KVM might come back in stock (I know it says there’s no idea but just wanted to check).
Should have another decent load up as soon as I get everyone’s pending single monitor mailed. I’m eyeball deep getting the singles monitor KVMs out the door from the last order. Once those are done I’ve already got everything I need for more duals.
I’ve got triples and quads monitor boxed and ready to go if you’d rather have one of those
Not to be pushy, but do you happen to have any single monitor KVM’s leftover? Or an ETA on those at all? Otherwise I’d consider a triple/quad but I don’t really need those and they seem a bit more expensive.
Also this is a bit separate, but just curious, what is the technical reason that makes these KVM’s DP 1.2 or 1.4? I was under the impression that displayport cables were all the same. I’ve got a 3440x1440 144hz monitor and was hoping DP 1.2 could work with it.
signaling rate, dp1.2 is lower rate. 3440x1440 tops out ~95-100hz for DP1.2. Need DP1.4 for 144hz.
Sure, email me wendell at level1techs dawt com and I’ll try to fix you up. I have a buuuuunnchhhh of dp1.2 kvms but you’d be limited to 100hz @ 1440p. But they also cost less.
Great, sent over an email. Also, just had one last question. The store mentions this - “Only Level1Techs has an adapter, as far as we know, to go from USB and DP on the PC side to a USBc connector for input.”. I assume this is an adapter that could do data + displayport to a USB-C w/Alt Mode input. The only adapter I have seen is this cable ( Belkin Charge and Sync Cable for Huawei VR Glass (giztop.com), but it only does USB 2.0 unfortunately.
Does Level1Techs sell this anywhere, or has this not been put out yet? I figure as a temporary solution I could just use the USB-C dock I have to act as a pseudo-kvm between my desktop and my laptop by just plugging in different USB-C cables.

I recommend either using L1T’s cables for DP 1.2 or these for DP 1.4. Virtually everything else has had reliability/quality-control issues.
Triple and quadruple, very interested. Maybe triple will be enough… but I haven’t seen those in the shop last time I checked l.
