KVM recommandation for 3 PCs / 2 monitors

Hello !
I’m a PC enthousiaste and I use 3 PCs in my every day life, one windows laptop for work, one fedora laptop for personnal work and finnaly one windows desktop for gaming and general media consomption.

For years I’ve been trying different setups of PC, OS and hardware to be most confrtable and this 3 PC setup is as of now the best yet.
Only issue of course is switching between one another can be a pain and I find myself sometime using my Windows desktop more than I want and dealing with windows issues because switching cables and booting up my laptops can be a pain for “just a small amount of work” than then turns in a few hours…
So I want to try a good KVM setup and see if it helps me with my setup, only issue is frankly I know nothing about KVMs and want to make a good choice for my setup.

What I’m searching for is the ability to connect two 1440p displays at 175Hz and a high speed USB hub for things like webcam, keybord and mouse etc… And then with a press of a button change what PC is shown on the two displays and are controlled / have access to the USB peripherals.

What KVM switch would you recommand and what are things I should be aware of / always look for in this kind of hardware?

Thanks for the help!

Hey thank you for reaching out

Can you list what ports they have? We have different KVMs for different ports and use cases.

Thanks for the quick reply and the help !

My Windows desktop has everything as you can imagine, all types of USB and HDMI / Display ports.
As for my laptops, both have 1 full HDMI port and a couple of Thunderbolt 3 ports.

I don’t know if it helps but here are the models of my laptops, one is a Dell Precision 5570 and the other one is a Dell Latitude 5530.

So it might be Thunderbolt 4 for both actually!

We don’t have a 3 PC version of our KVM(s), so you would have to get a 4 PC 2 monitor KVM. Based on what you’ve listed, I would probably recommend our new HDMI 2.1 KVMs. You will have monitor emulation if that’s something you’re looking for, VRR support (gsync/freesync), and upgradability for high framerate 4k monitors.

Another option would be to use two laptops in a KVM and get the usbc combo KVM that would charge your laptops and display. I assume you want all 3 PCs though.

Yes the goal is indeed to have the 3 PCs !

Having room to grow especially on the monitor is not a bad thing as 4K will definitely come sooner than later.

Do you have any model name or link to the 4 PC / 2 monitor kvm you’re talking about? I’m kinda confused with the products on the shop

This is the KVM:
