KVM not functioning

KVM Model:

PAAG-ET3112B

USB Interface (5-gigabit or 10-gigbit):

type here

10-gigabit

Problem:

I only received the KVM a few weeks ago and since it’s arrival it’s been giving me some persistent problems with switching between a mac and studio display. As far as I can tell all my cables are good (moshi cables) and I have tried numerous configurations without success. I’ve been trying for the past few weeks to get it working with a Studio Display without success. I have a M4 Mac Pro and a Dell latitude laptop. I’m using 3 moshi usb-c to DP cables.

My setup looks like the following:
M4 Mac → Moshi → DP IN KVM
Dell → Moshi → DP IN KVM
DP OUT KVM → Moshi → Thunderbolt IN Studio Display

Also tried with Mac:
M4 MAC → USB-C → OKC Dock → Moshi → DP IN KVM
M4 MAC → USB-C → Caldigit TS4 → DP OUT (club3d) → DP IN KVM

I have switched the Mac and Dell to PC1 and PC2 and I observe the same behavior. The Dell consistently works, I can switch to the Dell and I get an image on the Studio Display. The Mac is a different story, when I switch, black screen, and the only way to get an image is to pull the moshi cable from the thunderbolt port on the Studio Display and reinsert then I get an image. I tried putting a dock, both an OKC and Caldigit, between the Mac and KVM, with the same result. I have not tried different cables, I thought about returning my moshi cables and trying club3d cables, but this doesn’t seem to be a cable problem, because they work w/o issue, it’s only the switching behavior that causes me to lose image on the Mac. The other weird issue I observe is I can’t get the full 600 nits brightness without directly connecting the Studio Display to the mac with a thunderbolt cable.

Other Notes:

Starting this morning the situation has gotten worse, now switching to the Dell laptop is inconsistent, I had to press the button multiple times before I got an image on the display and my keyboard and mouse are no longer working, the keyboard is connected to the front HID port and Logitech receiver to the USB front port. They have been working fine since I received it and now are giving me issues. I’m wondering if I might have a hardware issue with the KVM. I did reach out over email already to Wendell but have not heard back yet and that was before the new issues I started observing today. For now I disconnected it in a effort to reset it to see if the problem persists. Thanks for any help.
