I have one of the new displayport 1.4 kvms and was successfully able to setup my monitors, but my periphereals have been an issue. I cannot get the G604 and the G915 to connect, no matter if I swap the usb input into the USB or HID ports. I disabled GHub to test and see if that was an issue, but havent been able to get any of them to connect. Any suggestions?
Have you tried any other USB devices? They should work in the non hid ports for sure as straight passthrough.
Have you checked to see if there is a Logitech firmware update?
Good morning Wendell. I tried a separate mouse and keyboard, plugging them both into the front USB and the rear USB (non hid) ports and couldnt get them to register as well. Both were wireless.
I also ran a firmware update on the keyboard and its dongle.
I am wondering if I am missing a step here, the process is to just plug them into the non-hid ports and they should work right? Would it cause any issues that they are both wireless peripherals?
can you take a pic of your setup and post it? you have both USB and displayport connections from each PC right?
Ohhh I think that is the issue, no usb running from each computer into the KVM facepalm. Does it matter which port it goes into for the KVM?
yes, pc 1 ports are grouped together and pc2 ports are grouped together. there is a specific singular input port for each PC attached to the kvm.
Alright yeah this was my bad, misunderstood the setup. Any recommendations on USB A-B cables for this?
anything as long as its 5gbps USB3 A to B, 5gbps rated. Usually blue connectors on both ends.
Cables just arrived, everything is set up and running great! Thanks for your help and patience as I got this working. Amazing product 10/10.
Does the G915 work on newer kvms now?
