I have a Windows Gaming PC (Personal) and a Macbook Pro M3 (Work) and 2 Monitors.
The first monitor is a 144hz 1080p MSI Gaming Monitor, and the second one is a 360hz Alienware also 1080p Gaming Monitor.
Is there a solution where I could use both of my monitors with a KVM with my macbook and pc but so that I can still get 360hz on my PC for gaming?
I also have peripherals that I want to use with the kvm, mainly, keyboard, wireless mouse, wireless earbuds, and a webcam.
I searched all around but couldn’t find one that supports 1080p@360hz.
Dual monitor dual pc kvm works fine. Use with a dock or multiple usbc to dp cables with the mac as single thubderbolt thubderbolt lacks the bandwidth to do high refresh across more than one display
I think the question was a displayport 1.4 bandwidth issue: am I wrong in my math in that 1080p at 360hz is the same as/equivalent to 4k 90hz? Since the KVM can go 4k 120hz (with DSC), i assume it is still within the spec? So I guess the theoretical maximum for 1080p is around 480hz for DP 1.4?
(This is without looking at any spec sheet/wikipedia?)
