The main thing stopping me from looking at a L1KVM to replace my existing unit (aside from price) is that you don’t have anything in your product stack to replace the Aten CS1772 / 4.
To be fair, neither does ATEN and neither does anyone else, but where is the Gigabit (or better) ethernet switch?
Bonus points if you can make the whole unit PoE powered. PoE output is probably not necessary, but a single KVM (KVME?) to power and control a bank of RaspPi’s would be cool.
What are you looking for?
I currently have a CS1772 which has VGA (with inline stereo audio), USB 1.1 for the console ports (which can recognise keyboard shortcuts to switch modes - so my G15 keyboard doesn’t work at all) and USB 2.0 for the front ports (which don’t intercept keyboard shortcuts, but allow my G15 to function), and a 3-port 10/100 ethernet switch.
For obvious reasons, I’d like to upgrade, but nothing on the market quite fits the bill. Additionally, I now have 4 1080p monitors, but I’m happy to just switch 1 or 2 for monitoring servers (or even HDMI from my Xbox).
