KVM Console HID vs USB 3 port

I recently purchased the 2 PC, single monitor KVM switch and have a question I’m hoping someone can answer. I have a PC (PC 1) and a Mac (PC 2). The webcam video
for the PC (PC 1) only works when the webcam cable is plugged into the Consold HID port, however the webcam video for the Mac (PC 2) only works when plugged into the USB 3 port.

I’m guessing this isn’t expected behavior or if it is, there’s likely something I can do so I don’t have to swap the webcam cable every time I switch computers.
