KVM 2PC 10G Version by Level1Tech

Evening,

Minor bother for assistance, but I’ve had the KVM for 3+ years or so now and it has been great. However I just upgraded my old blackwidow keyboard to the new razerblackwidow pro but it doesn’t seem to work on the HID port at all. Not sure if anyone has any suggestions? I have only tried the front port due to the awkward angle the device is mounted, but if you think the back HID ports would work i can try getting my hand in there and trying.

Thanks in advance!

I guess I can try the other ports anyways, I’ll do that after work and see what happens

Nope, the back HID ports don’t work either. Any ideas? It doesn’t seem to get any power at all as far as I can tell.

Hi I moved your post to the KVM helpdesk

Can you try in the blue USB 3.0 ports to see if it powers the keyboard?

All USB 3.0 ports seem to work fine. But there’s no functionality with switching between the PCs via Scroll lock or CTRL, whereas my previous keyboard worked on the HID port and scroll locked worked just fine.

I did email Wendall and he said it probably just is that razer isn’t sending the correct format. (Obviously he said it was more detailed and eloquent than that… I’m just not familiar with the terms he used)

He suggested a macroboard and I’ve reached out to some providers to see if their boards are capable of doing what I need. Do you happen to have any recommendations?

We are in the works if you want to hold out for that possibility, but otherwise I don’t have too much experience with macroboards to know

In the works on an update or macroboard?

I didn’t think the KVMs did firmware upgrades. So I assume you mean a macroboard but saddly I really need one. The kvm is kinda in a corner of a cable tray so need one to make it feasible in the short term.

We’re in the works of having a switch DIY kit. Ah, I see though. As long as you get a macroboard that is hid compatible you should be able to map the hotkeys appropriately

Just a quick update, found a super cheap board off Amazon which seems to work fine.

In fact I found out the keyboard doesn’t even wake my computer from sleep either, so razer has definitely done some tom-foolery with this keyboard.

Thanks for the help all the same!
