Ok I've been looking at some videos on youtube on ksp artificial gravity and saw a space ring and thought "hmmmm space ring, artificial grav..... ring... saturn..... Kerman.... this must be!!!!" I then quickly pulled out my Ti-83 and did alot of math.... lengths, mass, center of mass, center of gravity, weight, and lots of other varying things to take in....
20100 child rings needed to build a planet ring........ 3550 command rings made of 6 child rings.... 12 rockets to get all parts for 1 child ring.... 7 for center on 1 ring (center tower and 12 suport struts).... 5 for the ring platform (2-4 parts of the ring come up at any one time)..... can house 240 kerbals on 1 child ring...... 1680 max on the command ring...... 5.68+ million on the Orbital ring.... it takes 1hour 20 min to build 1 child ring (at my pace in a test build on 1 child ring).... 26800 hours to build at my pace.... all in vanilla.....
my plans so far.....
