I'm working on getting a second monitor for my computer and I remembered you guys mentioning the Korean monitors. So I checked them out, they seem pretty good. My problem is that I don't have much desk space beyond what my first monitor takes so I'd have to set it up vertically and that's fine by me. The thing is I can't seem to find any mounts for them, and who really likes wall mounts these days? So I was wondering if you could point me in the right direction.
EDIT:
Current monitor: VE248H is having edge bleeding. Sending it in for repair on warranty.
Thanks in advanced.
PS: What monitor (that you know of) has the tallest screen? I'll be using the new (1440p) monitor to view chrome and such while in-game or watching movies. Therefore I would like it to be pretty wide when mounted vertically.
PPS: My budget is around $350, preferably lower. Including mount.
PPPS: If Logan does not reply to this post I will put peanut butter on your toes and make a squirrel bite them while you sleeps. :} Enjoy.
I thank you for replying and helping me out so far. The only thing missing for me is where to get an adapter converter or whatever from Korean plugs. I am asking because I don't want to cheap out and get some shitty thing I find in a google search. This might require some form of adept decision making.
Drop a link and I will check it out. Please and thank you.
That mount works too. Assumed you wanted something attached to your desk as opposed to drilling holes in your wall.
As for the monitors, they both use the same Samsung PLS panel so you can't go wrong with any.
And for the adapter, I'm pretty sure that the Xstar comes with an adapter packaged in. I'm not really sure about the Qnix
EDIT: I found the Qnix for cheaper on Ebay. Plus they throw in a free adapter. : http://www.ebay.com/itm/QNIX-QX2710-LED-Evolution-ll-SE-Matte-27-2560x1440-SAMSUNG-PLS-WQHD-PC-Monitor-/131121204491?pt=Computer_Monitors&hash=item1e876ecd0b
Nice. $10 is worth the save for me. But I'm more of a Amazon guy cause I don't want to make a paypal account yet. For very stupid reasons but whatever.
The problem for the mount is that I don't have any space behind (except for wires) because ironically my desk is wall mounted. Therefore the mount you suggested would have to be mounted on the sides where it would look kind of awkward. The better way to go for now is a swiveling wall mount or a desk mount (which I don't think exists). Hence I will keep searching for better options meanwhile.
I use a Mount-It MI-752 for my X-Star DP2710. Has Swivel, Tilt and everything else (except for easy height adjustment). They have a few mounts like this that would do well on a wall-mounted desk, but I personally would go for a wall-mount for my monitor for the extra sturdiness.
See! That is a bad ass setup right there. I could deal with having less than infinite tabs if I can have pages load up nice and pretty like that. No more blank sides. and videos could always get dragged to a horizontal monitor. Less scrolling and better use of monitor real estate. Not even mentioning FKN multitasking! Movies and youtube and amazon and programming and handing homework in and shit. Now that is life.
