Korean 2560x1440 monitors

I want to get a 2560x1440 monitor and I have seen the the video Logan made about them and i was wondering which one i should get if any. I also saw a note in the description on one of them saying that tax is not included and I would have to sort that out my self and I dont really know what I would have to do ( I live in the UK if that makes any difference).

I just watched the video 30 minutes ago. I am tempted to go to 1440p from 1200p. DONT GET GLOSSY! I have used glossy monitors in the past and they are fucking horrible. Everything reflects off of it. I haven't used a glossy monitor since then.

This one:

I got one of these and it is epic!
I have my xbox connected via one of the x2 HDMI too. The speakers are not great but they are fucking loud!

As for import tax, I am in the UK and it cost about £19 I think about 3 weeks after it arrived - delivery was 10 days.

So total cost was about £315 ish inc all shipping, tax etc.

I'm getting a 2nd one of these as soon as I have the cash.

Thanks for all your advice

Did you really notice a difference in pixel number and quality overall? Right now I run a 1200p TN panel monitor and while its pretty good, I have heard a lot of good things about the S-IPS panels, and I am always down for nicer picture quality. :) Isn't this the glossy monitor screen though?

This review is spot on (except the number on inputs on the one I linked to ebay - VGA, DVI-D, x2 HDMI)

The extract screen space is immensely useful! I do music recording on it and you can see the amount of space I now have in my audio arrangements (The audio files you see in the main part of it is an entire 9 min long track from start to finish!):

As for the glossyness, I cannot fault it. If you have lights / windows behind you, it will reflect so if you are at an angle that will reflect light, you will see light sources.

The interesting thing here is I have a mirror directly behind me and I can see the reflection of the monitor itself in the monitor from the mirror. However it is so unnoticeable that it was 2 weeks before I first realised this. I really don't think I can even count it as a reflection. Maybe I am just lucky or something. If I had lights behind me, it might be a different story...

I have a 2nd 20" Dell monitor (Pictured) which is about 5 years old and looks like shite by comparison lol. Mine is Pixel Perfect but I do get the smallest bit of edge bleed in the lower right corner which I only ever notice when I look for it on an all black screen. basically on start up and that is literally it. I cannot see it even when I look for it when gaming or anything like that.

I seriously give this monitor 9.5/10 for the price. The onscreen instructions when selecting between DVI-D and HDMI are all in korean except it lists:

"VGA

DVI-D

HDMI 1

HDMI 2"

So it's pretty simple to figure out.

by all accounts the crossroad are the best, if you live in the US though, check out the one at monoprice, at least with them, you get a warranty that you can use without spending a fortune to send it back.
