Problem:
Short Version: I am using two monitors with different aspect ratios. When using mouse roaming, the mouse works normally on one monitor (7:6), but moves substantially faster in the horizontal direction on the other monitor (21:9). Its as if the KM is assuming the same aspect ratio as the other monitor. Turning off roaming causes normal function for both machines.
Did I simply miss the memo that the KM cannot handle different aspect ratios, or is something else going on here?
Is there a way to force the computers to “update” their perceived aspect ratio?
Long Version:
- I’m actually using the unequal split screen feature on the LG Ultragear 32:9 monitor.
- Desktop is hooked up to port one on the KM and displaying the 7:6 side.
- Laptop is hooked up to port two on the KM and displaying the 21:9 side
- I initially had G-Hub installed on both machines but uninstalled on both.
- I have tried powering off both machines and the KM, then rebooting everything but the problem persists.
Extra strange part:
- If I switch which device gets the 7:6 side, the problem persists! Now the laptop is on 7:6 and it gets the correct mouse movement while the wider aspect ratio desktop suffers.
- This happens after everything is turned off and brought back up, but without changing which port the devices are plugged into. So it doesn’t seem to be defaulting to the aspect ratio of the device in port 1.
